Bound with removeable black brads, the catalogue is composed of one stapled introduction booklet, followed by 6 leaflet/posters, one for each student. The purple poster ink seems to be absorbed by the red leaflet side. Each booklet and leaflet can be distributed individually.

Purple shapes appearing behind the red text are the "overage" ink from the back side which is the poster side.

We used public domain patent drawings to illustrate each project with a shift of humour.
There are no software that can handle spot colors for pictures. So we used a python script written by Simeon Voelkel which we got on the Scribus IRC channel to convert images to eps files and add the desired spot color in the header of the image. The original script was written for duotone colors, since we needed only monochrome colors, we fed the script with a blank image of the same size of the original image. Then, search & replace directly in the XML to change the spot colors. Result, the images are "baked", meaning we cannot change them anymore, if changes are to be made, you'd have to go from the previous tif or jpg version and re-apply the script.
